I found a really cool Blog Party going on and thought, why not join?  It is being hosted by the awesome Lynnette Kraft
You really should join up!  She has some amazing giveaways and all you have to do to enter is LINK UP!

First though, a brief introduction to me!
My name is Sarah, I am almost 30 and very excited to finally be out of my 20s.  I have so much hope for my 30s, and I really hope they don't let me down :)  I am very lost right now, but working on finding my way in this crazy world.  I've made a million changes in my life, maybe as a fear of beginning my 30s so far from perfect.  I want to at least be heading in the right direction of perfection {by my definition}

I do have an AMAZING husband.  We have been married for 5 and a half years now.  Together for so many.  {14!}  High School Sweethearts.  He is my rock.  My solid place.  My home.  My life.   He grounds me, makes me whole.  All that corny stuff that is so true.  Without him I would be a complete and total disaster.  We adopted our gorgeous "son" Cooper, who is a crazy 2 year old Goldendoodle back in September 2008. Now I could never imagine life without a dog.

I have a very sad family history, but I don't talk about it.  I don't have a mom.  That is what I began seeing a therapist for and hopefully will begin opening up soon.  BUT, I do have really great in-laws.  They sorta, kinda make up for the crappy regular parents I do have.  I have a huge fear of others judging me.

I am shy, but love to smile.  I LOVE taking pictures, but definitely don't consider myself a photographer.  I LOVE traveling, but don't get to do it nearly enough.  I love cruise ships.  I love the beach.  palm trees.  ocean.  water.  sand between my toes.  a good book.  These are things I long for, especially during the long, freezing cold Ohio winters.

I am working on my spiritual journey.  It is a VERY personal subject to me and I don't like others judging me for it.  I blamed God for a lot of bad in my life and I am trying to get over that and realize the good that has come out of it and His true plan.  I definitely DO NOT talk about it here though...its way too personal.

for i know the plans i have for you...
plans to prosper you
not to harm you...
plans for hope and
a future.
-Jeremiah 29:11

How would people describe your personality? (If they could only use ONE word.) Are they right?
quiet.  to some extent they are right.  I am quiet, until you know me.  I am reserved.  I don't share things if I don't know you.

What celebrity/celebrities would create a “Star-Struck” feeling if you saw them in real life?
oh geez.  I really don't know.  I can't really come up with anyone right now.

Who is your favorite blogger? Why?
Keli @ www.kidnappedbysuburbia.com  ; she is super cool and a really great friend!

What is your comfort food/drink?
starbucks mistos always make me happy.
Be brave – tell us something very random and weird about yourself.
I take my contacts out a very strange way....by "pinching" them, without touching my eyes.  I squeeze my eyelid down and have to use both hands.  Can't explain it well, but it looks very weird.

Do you have a strong desire to do something you’ve never done? What is it?
quit my job without a backup plan and have no regrets

Movies: Action, Drama, Romantic Comedy, Documentary, Comedy? What are your favorite genres?
 Romantic Comedy is my favorite

Books: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Romance, Biographies, True Stories, Self-Help, Devotional/Study? What are your favorite types of reading material?
oooh...my favorite right now is fiction, but I feel its geared more towards self-help.

Music: Funk, Rock, Country, Jazz, Classical, Film Score, Blues, Classic Rock, Crooner, Alternative, Heavy Metal, Techno? What are your favorite types?
I'm Country Gal!

If you inherited a million dollars, what is the first thing you would do with your money?
I'm not going to lie.....I would quit my job.  Then I would invest the money so I would have income, make sure hubby could buy what he wanted and find a job doing what I love.  I would probably spend a little and give a little cause you have to give to get.

Name one weakness of yours (confession is good for the soul).
weakness?  just one?  When Alan's not home its really hard for me to control my snacking at bedtime.  I will often save a couple WW points for a bedtime snack and take diet coke and a snack to bed with me.  {whoops}  SOOOOOO unhealthy and it is stopping!

If you could live anywhere at all (and take all your loved ones with you), where would you go?
St. Croix. In one of these houses.  Loved ones next door.

my house is on the left...
Strange Talent? Can you juggle basketballs, put your legs behind your head or perform some other strange feat?
hmmm...nothing too strange.  I used to play clarinet?  I got nothin'

What is one of your favorite things to catch a whiff of?
new house and new car!
When you leave a social gathering, do you wish: You would have talked more or You would have talked less?

"The awesome Lynnette Kraft." My favorite part of your blog post! HA!!! (How could I ignore that opportunity?)

I remember being excited to be 30. My reason for it was I tired of everybody teasing me for being so young. Now at 42, I am am definitely not teased about being young. :)

That's really neat that you married your high school sweetie.

I'm a late night snacker too. I snack while I blog. I can't help myself... it's the only time I can eat when nobody is asking for me food! ha!

So nice to pop by and read about you. Thanks for linking up.
Enjoy the party!
Lynnette :)

Enjoyed your Spring Party comments and your blog, Sarah! And then I noticed the Peter Marshall quote below it. I hadn't read that one before, about wind and diamonds and pressure... so very good.
Nice to get to say "hi" this way!
Blessings!

You have a beautiful blog - wonderful pictures in the blog banner.

It's okay to not "share everything,"I think. Some people are that way, others, are not. I tend to be a little reticent myself most of the time.
